Why your Menstrual Cycle will help you make more money :)

by Lauren Sheehan on February 6, 2012

I’m so excited to talk to you about PERIODS this week!

That’s right, I’m talking about menstruation. Your menstrual cycle is more valuable to your business than you know and I’ll tell you why in this weeks Badass Biz Chick lesson.

Cause honey, your cycle is for more than just baby makin’, it’s also for money makin!

All seriousness aside, there are a few key things I want you to know about your cycle and what gifts it brings for you in your life and business. Many women still feel their cycle is a huge burden and I want to show you how it can be your greatest gift, especially in business. From more confidence to more intuition to getting more of what you want, this is one lesson you’ll totally want to see.

Remember to leave me a comment  because I wanna know

  • How you’ll use this week’s lesson in your biz
  • How do you utilize your period during the month in your business? ( or how will you start?)

This really shows me the importance of planning. The thing with me is that I make a plan and then I do not follow it. :(

I really need help in this department, especially now. I’m at a point in my life where my parents are ready to disown me. I want a business similar to yours and the women that you help/ And my parents think this is the stupidest, craziest thing ever. They are unsupportive of it and the more I try to reach for it, the greater and greater the tension between my parents and I become.

I really don’t know what to do other than to get my own self together and I really suck at doing that… I procrastinate, I feel tired all the time, I’m constantly trying to make money which takes time away from my studies, I’m lonely so I am always reading blogs to make myself feel better, I feel scared to express myself at home so I spend a lot of time online to let it out. I feel like my environment is working against me when I already have a tendency to not stick to my plan or to procrastinate.

I can so relate Doka!

Start small with your planning and commitments and then go from there. Try to find some community you can feel safe to express yourself in near you, it will make such a difference.

Just keep on following your passions!

I love this! It makes so much sense…I happened to know when I ovulated this month, and I DID attract some interesting things! Thanks for the awareness!

I’d love to know what you attracted! We should all be tracking what we attract… wouldn’t be amazing looking back at a chart of all the things we attracted in the month??

This was right on Lauren. I’ve noticed this in the last 5 years of being an entrepreneur. Its so funny because I love ovulating. I get really passionate, lusty and have a great thirst for life. I want to eat and consume everything and I do…in new clients, new ideas, and implementing new techniques. I’ve learned to plan my business around my cycle so that I’m aware of my highs and lows and can strategically generate cash and income around this time but I also know when to rest so that it balances out and it doesn’t hurt my cash flow or my business.

I cannot more thrilled that you posted this particular topic and highlighting how EMPOWERING it is to tune into your cycle! One’s body is their first relationship and it is also the longest relationship you will ever have; treat it with reverence! It does not serve for the feminine cycle to be seen as a curse/inconvenience/bad/painful. It is nature’s reminder to tune in and listen to your body … Connection between Mind, Body and Spirit combined. Time to reflect and release what no longer serves, on all levels. And to tap into your intuition and creative, inspired ideas. …. Thank you so very much for sharing! I live and breathe this topic!

Awesome! I always enjoy observing how my cycle affects all other parts of my life. The entrepreneurial endeavor I want to begin has to do with menstruation and environmentally-friendly reusable menstrual products (DivaCup, the Keeper, etc.) so paying attention to my cycle while I market these products makes a lot of sense!

Re: Cycling quoted you this week…very cool! http://menstruationresearch.org/blog/ Congrats! Keep up the great work.
